Lead and contribute to the analysis, design, development and implementation of network solutions based on business, technical, operational (provisioning, service assurance) or regulatory requirements. Implement concerned solutions following defined objectives, budget, effort and timing while ensuring an optimal balance between third party or vendor solutions and internal development and integration work. End-to-end responsibility on actions across the project life cycle from requirements phase up to launch into production environment.
-Analyze and assess technical solutions and evolution to fulfil business, regulatory and operational (functional and capacity) requirements considering cost, time to market and quality. Evaluate and recommend evolution steps based on current and future technology capabilities.
-Participate in small to medium size implementation projects (from an end-to-end perspective), collaborate with different stakeholders (product management, operational teams, external suppliers and IT & network colleagues). Activities relate to design, implementation, testing and rollout of technical platforms.
-Participate in RFI (Request for Information) and RFP (Request for proposal) processes for selecting most suitable product or vendor in close collaboration with product management, procurement and operational teams. Define the technical part of the contract (Scope of Work, Project Management Plan, and Professional Services) in close collaboration with external partner and concerned technical and purchasing peers. Provide technical support to assess commercial proposals.
-Ownership of platform and execution of proof of concepts and trials is very short period of time.
-Lead the implementation of technical solutions in collaboration with operational teams.
-Preferred technical representative to suppliers and vendors. Provide excellent support to internal and external stakeholders regarding the technical domain and create credibility and trust by becoming a reference in the area of competence.
-Assure effective interactions with
*Product Managers to get relevant insight with regard to systems and service development.
*Procurement team for supplier selection, contractual and commercial support.
*Operational teams to integrate systems and changes in production environment.
*Network and IT Architects to define solutions within a globally coherent architecture.
−Engineering degree in telecommunications and/or IT.
−At least 6 years professional experience in telecom domain.
-Hands-on knowledge on two or more mobile core components in 2G, 3G, LTE (P-GW/GGSN, HSS/HLR) is preferred.
−Strong technical knowledge in the following is a must: Diameter, SS7, MAP, GTP
−Work experience on SMSC and knowledge of roaming ( Dual-IMSI\multi-IMSI and roaming hub) is considered a strong asset
−Overall view of the mobile core and understanding of call-flows.
-Strong interpersonal and technical skills.
-Good planning & organization skills.
-Knowledge of international carrier business is considered as an asset.
-Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
